Tinkering

Posted at 11:37 am under General

My readers may have been wondering why there have been no posts recently, and why there are a few kinks in the WD site. Well, the folks at WD are “remodelling” and this resulted in a hiccup here and there. Supremo geek and uber programmer David has been working night shifts to try to get it all done quickly. Thanks David.

In keeping with the theme of mundane domestic chores, here’s how I spent one my weekend evenings. Antony’s desk lamp stopped working, so it landed up on my operating table. A phillips screwdriver, a multimeter and some brute force revealed the problem: a dysfunctional switch. Switch is now bypassed, and Antony can type at night again.

I’m sure Antony is pleased that he doesn’t have to type by candlelight.

You can add this ‘repair’ to your resume :>)

Seamus, a logistics’s question, how far are you from Antony’s camp? How far from Joseph and Will? Always curious about such things!

    Theresa,
Antony and I share a camp. Also in our camp at the moment are: Justus and Maria (camp staff), Amy and Ernest.

Will lives and works in the Mara triangle, which is in the Masai Mara. We are several hours drive from each other.

Dana - there a few other things in my resume that are completely irrelevant to what I do for a living… and would probably not do my professional image any good.

Megan - I can’t remember. There was that one time, with a bottle of Jack, down in El Paso…
